We started this site to help further promote the Ford 3.8/3.9/4.0L V6 Mustang, share information with those of you that may be new to the world of performance and handling upgrades, provide shop tips, performance planning guides, links to other V6 Mustang sites (there's a lot of great people doing great things to promote the V6 Mustang), plus we have hints and tips for product installations that we have completed on our 1997 Lazer Red & Lazer Red 2000 "Stangs" as well as feedback from our customers and visitors on their mods & upgrades. Our 1997 3.8L V6 'Lazer Red' is an example of what you can do with a totally stock daily driver and grocery getter. This is Lazer Red 2000; the latest addition to the CHiP’S V6 Mustang Corral.

Sadly Lazer Red (1997 version) was totaled by me in a wild 360 degree high-speed spin out. I thought I was clear of traffic in the lane to the left of me, I was not... it was my fault. Happily the spirit of Lazer Red lives on in other Mustangs across the nation as an organ donor! Stay tuned as we continue to salvage parts for Lazer Red 2000.

We are be documenting the various performance modifications and upgrades we complete our newest V6 Mustang here in Fort Worth, Texas. Photo taken at my "Man Cave" here in Fort Worth. Most of the performance modifications and parts installations you see on this website were completed right here in this shop. Our goal is to provide "In your own garage" installation articles. You don't need a two thousand square foot professional shop with thousands of dollars of equipment to do it yourself. Our garage (or as some have called it - "A room with a car in it") was the culmination of years of small and large improvements. The first thing we did was the two part epoxy floor coating manufactured by 'U Coat It". It took us five days to prepare and apply the multiple layers, but it was well worth it! The shop has 15 over head lights, almost all of which are the new compact fluorescent type that allow you to have a well lit shop without breaking the bank on electricity cost. Stick with General Electric brand CFL; they cast a very pleasing blue-white light, where as other brands cast a not-so-pleasant yellow-white light. As you can see we are NASCAR® fans.
